Choose the official import route

SuperOps provides an import wizard for clients, requesters and sites using CSV, TSV, XLS, XLSX or XML. Begin in Modules > Clients and select CSV import, then choose the record type.

Map columns and values

Upload the source file, identify headers, match the columns, map values and review discrepancies before finishing. Keep the client/site/requester relationship keys in your working copy so each row can be reconciled after import.

Prepare a meaningful pilot

Use one client with two sites and requesters at both locations. Check names, email addresses and site ownership in the result. Record which fields were deliberately left in the source archive and which require a destination custom field.

Bring knowledge content through its own importer

SuperOps separately documents knowledge-base document import for DOC, HTML and PDF with a 100 MB limit. Choose a collection and access controls for each batch. Test formatting, embedded images and article visibility alongside the client-data pilot.

Coordinate historical service records

Confirm the route for ticket conversations, worklogs, billing and attachments with the migration owner. Preserve their source IDs in a cross-reference sheet and agree on a final-change pass before switching service intake.

Evaluate the historical-ticket migration announcement

SuperOps announced Ticket Migration via CSV for historical tickets, conversations and worklogs in the Early Access section of its May 2025 release notes. Treat that as a documented announcement, then obtain the current MSP template, entitlement and field rules from SuperOps. Validate authorship, private notes, files and retry behavior before relying on the route for production history.
