Import data into Zoho Billing: files, mapping and preview
Prepare Zoho Billing imports using documented tools, field mapping, validation and a representative migration pilot.

Choose the official import route
Zoho Billing supports imports for customer and subscription data, products/plans, invoices, payments and other documented finance modules. Use the template and rules for your regional edition and selected module.
Configure the import file
The US guide accepts CSV, TSV and XLS files below 25 MB. Download the sample from the import screen, choose the character encoding and configure the module’s import preferences.
Map dates and required fields
Review automatic mappings, fill mandatory fields and set date formats explicitly. Reconcile customers and plan/product references before importing related transactions. Keep a crosswalk for invoice and subscription identifiers, including any prefix changes used during consolidation.
Preview before committing
Inspect ready rows, skipped rows and unmapped fields. Download skipped rows for correction, then re-import the repaired set. Compare invoice totals, payments, credits and subscription status with the source.
Plan the billing transition
Agree separately on payment-provider credentials, recurring-charge activation, attachments and refund history. Maintain a source archive and a controlled activation date so billing operations have a clear handover.
Prepare the organization before transaction imports
Zoho’s migration guide starts with organization preferences, taxes and module configuration. Prepare custom fields before downloading sample files. Follow the documented dependency order so customers and product/subscription references exist before dependent transactions. Keep your regional edition, currency and date rules in the mapping record. Payment-token transfer needs a separate provider-approved process.
